Henriette Reker, the Lord Mayor of the City of Cologne, invites all new foreign students and visiting academics to the Cologne City Hall.
The reception begins on Friday, 04 April 2025 at 4 p.m. with an official welcome on behalf of the City of Cologne and a representative of the Cologne universities, followed directly by a "come together" in the atrium with information stands and a light snack. There, the international guests will have the opportunity to inform themselves at numerous stands - including the Foreigners' Office of the City of Cologne, ASten, international university groups, university communities, the Cologne Student Union - about the offers specifically for foreign students.
Right before the reception, we offer newcomers the chance to get to know Cologne better during a guided city tour (German or English).
