How do I renew my residence permit? How many hours am I allowed to work alongside my studies? How do I prove that I have sufficient funds? What constitutes a proper course of study? – The City of Cologne’s Foreigners’ Registration Office will answer questions such as these at an information session on residence rights on Wednesday, 4 November, aimed at international students and visiting academics in Cologne.
The Cologne Student Services Organisation (Kölner Studierendenwerk) organises this event once a year in collaboration with the City of Cologne’s Immigration Office and the international offices of Cologne’s universities. Following a presentation by the Immigration Office (in German with English translation), several advisers will be available for one-to-one consultations to discuss personal and specific queries.
