The Cologne Student Services, in cooperation with the following providers in Cologne and throughout North Rhine-Westphalia, offers spots at a variety of daycare centers:

  • Weyertal 113 Municipal Daycare Center (Note: Due to planned renovation work, no new children can be accepted at this time!)
  • AWO Kreisverband Köln e.V.: You can secure a spot for your child at one of the 18 AWO daycare centers in the Cologne metropolitan area. A list of eligible daycare centers can be found in this PDF-Dokument. You can view the relevant AWO daycare centers in more detail on the website awo-koeln.de. Please note that the list also includes other AWO daycare centers that are not available as reserved spots for the Cologne Student Services.
  • Fröbel-Gruppe: The Fröbel Group offers childcare spots in Cologne and throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.

These options allow you to choose whether your child should be cared for near the university or near your home, and you can also select a program that suits you and your child. Find out more about the individual facilities on the respective providers’ websites and then let us know as soon as possible via the registration form which daycare centers you would like to register your child for.

 

Daycare registration

Please send the completed registration form by email to kita-belegplatz@kstw.de. Once we have received your registration, we will review it and add you to our registration list. In October, your registration will be forwarded to the relevant providers. The cooperation partner or institution will then decide on the actual admission to a daycare center. If necessary, you will be offered an alternative institution with the same provider near the desired institution. We cannot guarantee a place in daycare.
